If pet dragons existed, What would chunky dragons need? Plenty of food and lots of rest! Hungry and full of personality, these mythical creatures would live a simple life—far less dramatic than House of the Dragon. With this in mind, I created a storyboard to visualize what a day in the life of a chunky dragon would be.

Your Chunky Dragon Needs is a quick video essay on how to care for your pet dragon. As a kid, dragons were my favorite “animal”. I loved the magic behind these creatures and the worlds they lived in. Simple captivated by every piece of media featuring them. With this motion graphic, I wanted to capture that same magic and wonder, bringing my childhood sketches and characters to life.

Colors & Style
Inspired by classic children’s book illustrations, I leaned into warm, soft colors—evoking the cozy feeling of reading by the fire. To enhance the storybook aesthetic, I incorporated a paper texture and hand-drawn brush strokes, giving the animation a nostalgic, handcrafted charm.
